One of the things that makes our Bed & Breakfast so unique, is the fact that it’s centrally located in the heartland of Funen and Denmark. Whatever you choose to explore, there are so many inspiring and memorable things to do and experience.
Endless possibilities and sights to discover and explore
Whether you want to go out and do something you’ve never done before (like Bridgewalking) or enjoy walks in the nature, go mountain biking, fishing, supboarding, canoeing, swimming, there are numerous possibilities. Explore the beautiful nature reserve and largest contiguous forest of Funen, Svanninge Bakker with Svanninge Bjerge and the Sollerup Skov (forest).
You will also love to dine in the nearby Michelin Guide gourmet restaurant at Falsled or visit charming Christmas markets in the winter. An unforgettable highlight in our area is master storyteller Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale house and museum, with hi-tech multi-media experiences and activities. Art lovers don’t want to miss Brandt's museum for contemporary and classical arts, housed in an a former textile factory in the centre of Odense. Famous Danish composer Carl Nielsen’s childhood home is another beautiful museum.

With Faaborg (3km), Falsled (2km), Svanninge (2km), Odense (21km), Assens (26km) and Svendborg (26km), Copenhagen (190 km), Aarhus (160km), Ribe (The oldest town in Denmark - 139km) around the corner, the list of things you can do is endless.
Not only is this area a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, offering some beautiful hiking, biking and horse-riding trails that wind through the countryside and reveal captivating views at every turn, it’s also an absolutely amazing place for people who love being out on the water sailing, kayaking, surfing, supping, fishing, island hopping, finding oysters or clams and going on a boat trip.
Solbjerggaard has small beaches and bathing places just five minutes away. We highly recommend Falsled Strandholmen, Hesseløje, Klinten, Faaborg Harbour Bath, which are just some of the large sandy beaches and leisure areas that allow for the most relaxing and beautiful days. The islands in the Sydfynske øhav, the South Funen Archipelago, south of Faaborg, offer stunning beaches and landscape settings.
Food, art, golf and history: there truly is so much to explore, see and enjoy for everyone
If you’re into playing golf or are up for a new experience, Faaborg Golfclub is just a 6-minute drive away, making it the perfect daytime activity in the most beautiful surroundings.
As for the food enthusiasts among us, there’s a creative and gastronomic food market in Odense, while Funen has a national reputation for its many gourmet restaurants. The award winning Falsled Kro (recommended by the
Michelin Guide), is just a 5-minute car ride away from Solbjerggaard.
